Couponova is only useful if you can trust what you see. These are the rules the team follows for offers and for our shopping guides.
Offers
- Authorised sources only. Offers come from stores through official affiliate networks, or from promotions a store has announced publicly. We don't copy codes from other coupon sites, and we never publish codes meant for a single customer, for employees or for a closed group.
- Checked before publishing. Network offers only appear once they pass automatic checks: the store has approved us as a partner, the offer has started, and it hasn't ended. Deals added by hand are checked for the store, the end date and the conditions that apply. The team reviews the listings regularly.
- Removed when they end. Offers past their end date, or no longer listed by the store, are taken down automatically. If a store gives no end date, we treat the offer as temporary and review it again.
- Your votes count. Every offer asks “Did this work?”. Offers that keep getting “No” are hidden until we can confirm them.
- No fake urgency. We only show an end date when the store gives one, and we don't invent countdowns or “only 2 left” claims.
Shopping guides
- Written to be useful. Each guide answers a real question shoppers ask, such as why a code fails or when prices drop. If the honest answer is “don't buy yet”, we say so.
- Checked before publishing. Facts about store policies, sale dates and services are checked against the official source at the time of writing. Where policies differ by store or country, we say so instead of guessing.
- Kept up to date. We review guides regularly and show the date of the last update at the top. When a fact changes, we fix it rather than add a note at the bottom.
- No paid placements. Stores and networks can't pay to appear in a guide or to change what it says. Links in guides may be affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure.
- General information, not financial advice. Guides about budgeting or payment options explain how things work; they aren't personal financial advice.
Who writes
Guides are written and edited by the Couponova Editorial Team at Novatio Systems: the same small team that reviews the offers on the site and in the app, so the advice comes from watching how codes and sales behave every day.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake in an offer or a guide, please tell us. We correct errors as soon as we can confirm them.
